Newfloor raised floors were born in 1986 from an idea by the Matterazzo family.
Since then, our ideas have grown together with the projects and the needs of those who choose us for their spaces whether indoor or outdoor, private or corporate, institutional or exhibition.
Today, our team counts 30 people, and we produce 300,000 square meters of raised flooring every year, installed in more than fifty countries worldwide.
In nearly forty years, many things have changed, yet we’ve always preserved the same care and passion that have guided us since the beginning — the spirit of a family-born adventure.

The Origins of Raised Flooring Technology and Newfloor’s Contribution
A passion passed down through generations.
Because raised flooring is not just work it’s the story that has shaped my family.
Every little detail of production, every new idea and collaboration, every doubt and solution found, day after day, together, up to today.
Chiara Matterazzo
Chief Executive Officer
Our family, a long-standing leading figure in the history of raised flooring, has played an active role in its evolution and development, becoming a guardian of its unique characteristics.
Today, we renew our commitment by upholding the same values that have always defined us dedication, continuous research, attention to detail, and genuine care for our clients.

Newfloor solutions are never standardized we are constantly seeking the best product for each client, ensuring:
A wide range of sizes, not limited to 60x60 cm
A wide range of finishes from ceramic to parquet, from rubber to reconstituted stone.
No construction limits including small projects and custom-made products.
Versatile, cutting-edge, and customized structures.
A key element that distinguishes the company is undoubtedly the passion and constant dedication to the study of materials, aimed at developing new products and systems that improve functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics.
Equipped with a small in-house laboratory and supported by national certification bodies, Newfloor tests the individual components of its systems to verify their compliance with required standards, conformity to the specifications declared by suppliers, as well as quality, safety, durability, and performance.
Based on the data collected from each test, the company continuously updates its internal technical documentation to facilitate research and the development of new products.
Our products are certified by national authorities
“Raised Flooring. Construction Systems, Applications, and Standards,” Rimini, Maggioli, 2015, produced by the Newfloor team, is a publication born from the idea of offering the architecture and building services sectors, as well as the academic world, a comprehensive and illustrated technical manual. It is rich in knowledge, examples, explanations, and comparisons of various materials, dedicated exclusively to raised flooring
Regarding packaging, we have implemented a solution that standardizes the materials used. For this reason, we now use cardboard caps and paper adhesive tape. This measure makes it easier and more efficient to dispose of the entire packaging, which can be classified under the European Waste Catalogue (EWC) code 150101 paper and cardboard and disposed of accordingly. A simple step, yet one that supports Newfloor and its clients during the post-sale and disposal phases.
As for wooden pallets, the European Waste Catalogue classifies them under EWC code 150103 wooden packaging.
Disposal of the panels themselves is more complex, as raised flooring is made from multiple assembled materials. The assigned reference code is EWC 170904 mixed waste from construction and demolition activities. The resulting material can be stored in dedicated waste collection bins on-site during works, or stacked in a designated area of the construction site and later picked up using a self-propelled loader operated by trained personnel, to be delivered to appropriate storage and disposal facilities. Not all landfills are authorized to accept this type of waste, and availability may vary.
