Casa Pelagos is the new museum exhibition inaugurated last August at the WWF Oasis and Nature Reserve of Orbetello (GR).
The project, made possible thanks to the essential support of Deutsche Bank and part of WWF’s GenerAzione Mare campaign, offers a sensory experience that immerses visitors in a ‘virtual dive’ into the depths of the sea. It is an important initiative aimed at raising awareness and engaging the public on the biodiversity of the Tyrrhenian coast and the marine ecosystem of the Mediterranean.
The installations at Casa Pelagos, located in the historic Casale Spagnolo of Giannella, include themed panels and graphics, along with interactive and immersive multi-projections, creating an engaging and educational visitor experience.
The project
The renovation of the old farmhouse also included the installation of raised flooring, a system that provides both functionality to the space and a solid base for the activities carried out within the museum.
Newfloor supplied 200 sqm of raised flooring consisting of 60×60 cm G30HAH panels: high-density 30 mm thick calcium sulfate core, aluminum sheet on the underside, and a grey cement-effect laminate finish on the top.
The panels are supported by an SNFL structure with light stringers and pedestals with nominal heights of 120 and 215 mm.
