The context
Harp Lane is an exclusive office center in the heart of the City of London, the beating heart of the UK’s financial sector. It offers a wide range of solutions, including private offices, co-working spaces, and meeting rooms. With panoramic views of the Thames and just a short walk from Monument, Bank, Tower Hill, and London Bridge stations, Harp Lane provides an exceptional working environment designed to inspire creativity and productivity.
The project
In collaboration with partner Metafloor UK Limited, Newfloor supplied approximately 1,700 sqm of raised flooring with 60×60 cm T38HTP panels: 38 mm thick chipboard core with a 0.5 mm steel tray on the underside and a natural walnut wood finish, Cassero pattern, coated with Bona varnish. Additionally, 50 sqm of 60×60 cm G30HTX raised flooring was supplied. This variant features a 30 mm thick calcium sulfate core with a steel tray on the bottom and a hand-crafted river pebble top layer. The pebbles were individually placed side by side and then bonded using a cement slurry—the same process used in terrazzo flooring production.
The panels were installed on Newfloor’s STFM structure, using medium stringers and pedestals with nominal heights ranging from 42 to 110 mm.
This project demonstrates the ability to customize raised floor panels according to client preferences. The use of high-quality materials and adherence to production standards ensure the longevity and aesthetic performance of Newfloor raised flooring over time.
